This scholarship honors Ashley’s memory, by supporting the cause that she was passionate about and will help further her goal of saving lives by preventing hereditary cancer.
Scholarship Description: Funding will be awarded yearly to a recipient with a special interest in developing greater knowledge and skills in hereditary cancer prevention and family outreach. Funds may be used to virtual attendance for the National Society of Genetic Counselors Annual Conference or other similar meeting for specialized genetic counseling information related to hereditary disease.
Eligibility: All individuals engaged in volunteering related to hereditary cancer prevention, as well as others who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate education, genetic counseling training programs, or are new professionals as Genetic Counselors (first two years after graduation) are eligible to receive a one-time scholarship to help cover the cost of attending a specialized conference, training, or class related to hereditary cancer genetic counseling.
