The University of Alabama at Birmingham is partnering with ConnectMyVariant to make sure that all people with hereditary cancer risk have help talking to their relatives. Through ConnectMyVariant you can get personalized support from a Family Outreach Navigator. You can also have the opportunity be connected with others who have your exact same genetic variant if desired.

All ConnectMyVariant activities are voluntary and free to you. When you sign up below, ConnectMyVariant will contact you to offer assistance. You can choose what you want to do and engage with relatives at your own pace. Do you have a mutation or variant in a disease risk gene in your family?
Are you interested in exchanging your contact information with people in other families who have the same variant? If you select “Yes”, we will share first name and email with others with the same variant.
If you do not know the variant details, you can upload a photo of your test report (optional)
Are you interested in a navigator helping you with family outreach (optional)
Are you interested in being contacted about research projects related to your variant? You will be asked about participating in specific projects before being included in research. (optional)
